The Summer Poem

I came across this today. I remember playing with it back in December, but I didn't do anything with it. Now I am. This is it.

air crackles
you hear it sizzle
ozone zaps
and the summer storms
build thunderheads
in the
clear blue sky
building mountains
of grey clouds
full to bursting
with heavy
cooling rain
rain splats
juicy drops
heavy on the ground
parched earth
dried and dusty
dried grass
dried leaves
bushfire fodder
waiting to burn
lightening strikes
before the rain
clouds mashing in the sky
crashing
sparking
burning the earth
needing the rain
insects hum
geckos click
snakes bake
idly on a rock
pools beckon
water splashes
refreshes
cleanses
douses the flames
of the heat
the passion
the fire
fire cleanses
cleans
destroys
