These are the three backs I have so far. Neil suggested I get myself a double spiral stamp made. I do like that idea, since the spiral does mean a lot to me, especially it's relationship to "The Garden Path". The grey back is ever so lightly textured, and quite matte. I got a xyron machine, and have printed a page of cards which I've then laminated on one side only, added a creamy (opal) back, and stamped it. I quite like these. I have more backs to trial though, which I will post when I assemble them!... more »»
I've almost finished the majors, and I've been printing out my designs as cards. Complete with backs and lamination. I love them! It's amazing what a difference it makes, seeing them as cards, instead of just as prints, or artwork on a screen.... more »»
Twenty four years ago this morning (0423) I gave birth to my daughter. The day she was in labour with her own daughter I took photos of her, one of which became the basis for my Empress card. I thought I should probably write some about the associations I came to for this deck, since they're not traditional, and are based on my own personal interpretations and the weather and seasons here, in Australia. The suits are named for the seasons. Spring I've associated with water. Spring isn't actually when we get most of our rainfall, but we do get a fair bit. Traditional suit-wise, it's closest to wands.
