I do like that idea, since the spiral does mean a lot to me, especially it's relationship to "The Garden Path". The grey back is ever so lightly textured, and quite matte. The second batch of cards

I got a xyron machine, and have printed a page of cards which I've then laminated on one side only, added a creamy (opal) back, and stamped it. I quite like these. I have more backs to trial though, which I will post when I assemble them!... more »»

Associations

I thought I should probably write some about the associations I came to for this deck, since they're not traditional, and are based on my own personal interpretations and the weather and seasons here, in Australia. The suits are named for the seasons. Spring I've associated with water. Spring isn't actually when we get most of our rainfall, but we do get a fair bit. Traditional suit-wise, it's closest to wands. For me it was about the new life, and... more »»
